Biography 
Simon Schlagintweit has worked in TÜV SÜD’s AM team since 2018. His responsibilities include auditing companies across all industry sectors and developing AM-specific services. Prior to TÜV SÜD, he received his master’s degree from RWTH Aachen University in materials science. He gained experience in AM in scientific work (Fraunhofer ILT and TU Munich iwb) and at Fraunhofer IGCV (research assistant).

 AM-Certification – Status quo, experiences and outlook 

Abstract 
The presentation will explore the status quo of certification in the AM ecosystem. There we will deep dive into different standards (published and unpublished) and how they tackle the issue of quality assurance and how this influences the medical industry. Furthermore, it will give an outlook what the future will bring in terms of standardization and certification.
